 I only looked at this briefly. Socket won’t fit cause pulley sheaves in the way. Screw head didn’t move. What is the combination to crack this case? 🤔Thanks! Dana.

Crowsfoot wrench. Be sure to make a horseshoe plate to support as much of the pulley as possible before pulling with a puller or you'll crack the pulley for sure. It also helps to warm the pulley good before putting it back on.

What Paul says. I just did mine. Soaked it with penetrant, ground a little off an old wrench to sort of fit, nut broke loose then screw came out pretty easily. I did break the tip off a screwdriver trying to get the screw out without getting the nut loose first.

Loosen the nut but leave it in so the screw slot doesn't spread open.

I'm lost on this Paul. Support the pulley? Do you mean to put the plate behind the pulley and then pull against the plate? Thanks

I used a bearing separator to pull the pulley off a b. You have to support the bearing so you're not pulling against the pulley itself. Yea lube and maybe heat. Good luck.

I use a two jaw bearing splitter with two pulling rods, a threaded cross beam and forcing screw for these. Think I have four different sizes of bearing splitter so something always works. Long and short is you need to support that sheave almost complete around it's backside while forcing on the crank snout.
