I'm looking at getting another 190xt. I'll be retiring in a couple of years and will be getting into the haying business again. The tractor will be mainly running a NH bale wagon.
Anyway, I'm noticing a lot of the XT's have a short, paddle lever on the right side of the front console, just below the grab handle and above the brakes. I think it's just the Series lll models?
What's that lever do?
I used to have a 1965(?) XT and it didn't have that little paddle-like lever.

That paddle lever you are referring to should be what I called the parking brake on our 190xt series 4 growing up. If you flip the lever up and press the left brake down it should lock the brake in place when you let off the peddle.

If you flip the lever down, and press the brake peddle again it should release the brake peddle.

That's if everything is working correctly.
