For Sale a HD21 dozer. It broke down where it sits since the early 1980’s. I forgot to look for the nomenclature tag for the serial number, sorry.
Dozer is located in West Central IL. Will only sell whole. If no one wants it it will go to the scrapper. PM me with an offer. I do have some other pictures. Don

Track came off the old dozer or something else broke down on the old girl? Is the engine still loose? What town is it near?

The dozer is in Pike County IL
Posted a pic of the problem. Nothing was done with it since it broke down. Have no idea of engine condition. What you see is what you get. I realize that moving it would be a pretty big undertaking but wanted to put it out there as maybe someone had the means to move it and needed it to restore one they had or looking for one to restore. We’d like to get at least scrap price. Posting for my brother in law as the dozer was my father’s and it now sits on my sister’s & BIL’s land. They will use the money from it to help my parents fix stuff up on my parent’s farm. Dad bought it to clean out fence rows to put up new fences and make new ponds. Sadly the ponds filled in or the ponds blew out & the fence rows could use a good cleaning again. No livestock anymore, the fences just designate farm & field boundaries now. Don Long Thompson IA |

Hard to believe but I've seen that tractor albeit many years in the past. I used to haul insurance salvage cars through Pittsfield/Pike County towards Columbia, MO from central IL almost daily. Got familiar with the scale house and waived through each time when they were open. Many times someones treasure purchase was on the backhaul if not loaded. I thought that tractor had a sheared off drive sprocket from poor welding, but been too long to remember for sure. Can't remember what I was hauling when dropped the "purchase" off at the farm. You don't remember if this tractor came from around the Kingdom City, MO area do you? All this is from memory and very subject to errors..... |

I will ask Dad and see if he remembers who & where he purchased it.
Went to school in Pittsfield. FFA helped check deer in at the Weigh Station one year. Know exactly where you got waived through. The farm is out near Martinsburg. |

That sounds familiar. I'm from Springfield, IL growing up there into the early 1980's. Hauled a lot of salvage for Shelter Insurance through that area to a staging yard outside of Columbia, MO right off of 54 into mid 2005 when contracts expired. Pittsfield area has changed a bit since my treks through there but much remains. Was last through there about a year ago. Can't remember the now closed restaurant I used to fill my thermos at. I think the building still stands, but was empty last I remember. I hauled the same loads consistently and always used the same practices for securement. Once the routine was recognized there was no reason to inspect, or even weigh a lot of times. Dropped "treats" off there a few times too for good measure.
