We are looking for a new mattress.  Anyone on here have a "Purple" Mattress?  My wife wants to try one but I am not sold yet.  We have had tempurpedic and are disappointed with it. It has developed a hill in the middle and sides don't hold up. Both of us have back problems. We are a little heavier than we should be, but not overly heavy.
Any comments or recommendations are welcome.  Thanks

no but......
EVERY mattress needs to be 'flipped' every month or so
left to right
then upside down
then head to foot
then left to right
then......

really helps if BOTH the sleepers do this
otherwise it is a PITA  if a king sized unit !!

We have a sleep number it's a king size and made up of 2 single mattress side by side so that she can raise her head to sleep and I can sleep flat and we can adjust each to what we like pressure wise.

We have an extra firm, which we both like. I feel that will hold up longer.

No experience with purple mattress per say. Do have Menard’s Serta “better” 12” gel memory foam mattress in-a-box type that sleeps good.
For bad back sleep, maybe try placing top mattress onto solid surface, not the usual flexible box frame types. Solid surface can be floor, some water bed’s elevated structural support surface, or build your own wooden frame/plywood elevated support? Maybe incorporate adjustable ends to raise head end?
