Link to a video of Gleaner L2 harvesting some good beans in Southern Indiana. What is interesting about this machine is that it is wearing a face plate from a CaseIH 40/60 series combine, which allows it to attach to CaseIH headers. Are there drapers available to fit 60 series Case combines? If so this is one way to make one fit on an L2/3 Gleaner. L2/3 combines would have impressive capacity if they would fit drapers and larger hoppers. He does have a video of adapting the face plate.

I never been around Gleaners, were the grain platforms less than desirable?

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

They were pretty good but I'd imagine most Gleaner headers that size, of that vintage are wore slam out by now. Not sure if a modern Gleaner head will fit on an old L2. |
