Anybody have a cure?
Sucking on cough drops nearly constant, tried different brands. Hot tea Honey Coffee Water It worse when I talk, can’t get 3 words out before a coughing spasm. Never been a smoker. |

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

See doc. My sister-in-law had a persistent cough. After a few antibiotic treatments for bronchitis, x-ray found tumor. She was a non-smoker - her parents are smokers. She died at 28 years old. :(

Lars, no offense, but it would be STUPID to just ignore this and hope for a home remedy suggestion from any of us.
IF, and only IF, you go to a doc and rule out truly serious things that cause a persistent cough, and therefore it seems you are cursed with a forever tickle, then go ahead and search away.

Somehow, contracted strep throat a week and a half ago. We have been traveling since mid Sept., got prescription for penicillin to rid the strep(TeleDoc). Couple more days and we will be home(thank God).
Every time I get a cold, the cough will linger for a couple weeks. Throat feels fine now, just can’t shake this cough. Sleeping fine, other than getting up to pee several times, due to all the fluids drinking during the day. |

I guess I don't follow.....Strep 1 1/2 weeks ago and still coughing doesn't seem all that "persistent" to me. Or at least an assignable cause. You do you, or listen to all the smart people on the internet, who haven't even been around you. Dave, do you speak English? K, I'll shut up. Over and out.

Check with your doctor, ask about a prescription for tessalon perles. I have found them to be extremely effective for controlling bad coughs.
