hello to all. just purchased a A/C WD that was listed as a 1954, but going by the serial no. wd98216, seems to be a 51? also , next to the throttle lever there is another lever that you would use your left hand to use. what is this for? doesn't seem to want to move Did the 51 have a distributor or a magneto. this tractor has a distributor. any help would be appreciated.
john............. have 9 b10/b210/b212 garden tractors with all the attachments. |

I am assuming you are talking about the hydraulic lever which raises and lowers the lift arms, which raises any tool that you have hooked on them.

Someone has updated it to the dit, a common practice. May have been on there already for the majority of its life and if mine I would leave it on

Yes, your serial number would appear to be a 1951.

Congrats on the new Iron! I have a 51 WD too. You asked about the mag or distributor,
originally it would have have been 6 volt magneto, I've seen alot that were converted to 12 volt and a distributor, including mine.

the magneto does care if it a 6 volt or a 12 volt battery. The battery has no effect on the mag. Bob

Thank you for all of the replies, it is great to have other tractor owners to be able to talk to when you have questions. this tractor is actually for my 10 tear old son for christmas.
he is into tractors as much as i am. we both belong to the local ag museum of schuylkill county of which i've been vice president for 3 years now. we do many parades through the year, and i know he won't be able to wait for the next parade when he finds out he got this tractor. thanks again and happy holidays. ................john |
