Good morning. I’m having an issue with a 1973 Acc 60 Allis Chalmers forklift. I need to find points or an entire distributor. It supposedly has a 300 inline Massey engine and will not starts I need to know how the plugs wire to the distributor cap and where I can get the plug wire routing to the distributor cap. Any help would be grateful.

bump engine distributor cap off, determine rotation direction of dist rotor, remove number one plug, again bump until start to get compression out hole, hand roll engine to timing mark as are then at Number one firing.  Where the rotor points to is the Number one wire on the cap.  Simple standard Six cylinder firing order and is usually cast on the block, 1,5,3,6,2,4.  Wires go on in that order in direction of distributor rotation.

Are NO Set rules as to where Number One will be should anyone remove and reinstall distributors, are no other diagrams out there.  Can place number one in any position on the distributor when install one as only have to use the above on any six cylinder to set wires.
