My G revs up and down. I can see the governor rod moving when it's doing it. If I hold the rod, it idles normally.
I compared the rod to a couple of other G's and mine is two-piece with a clamp, while the other two are solid. Do I need a new spring or does the rod need adjusting? |

![]() You have an adjustment screw that can be seen just below the spring linkage.
It is a surge damper adjustment. Bottom right of the picture with a jam/lock nut.
Give that a try.
