I’m sure this will be a sideways picture but couldn’t help but to share my excitement of todays find.

As I picked up this tractor from my cousin I knew it had an engine replaced but had no idea what was installed. It’s a Kohlor 18S, V-twin. Wiring was botched up and I am still working on straightening out the mess. Starter takes off as soon as the battery is attached with the key off. So, it may be a solenoid stuck, will throw my meter on it to be sure. The solenoid is attached to the starter which is different than the original design. Installed 2 new tubes in a front and rear tire. Hoping to resolve its issues later this week. Like the fact it has mid and rear hydraulic lift.

Solenoid shaft was broken so the starter was stuck in start position. Ordered a new starter this morning. Solenoid alone was pretty expensive so I’m just replacing the whole starter. Repaired the wiring issues so I’m hoping all will be good once the starter arrives.

Cleaned the carburetor a second time. I found out there is a jet behind the fuel shut off seat so I just gave the entire carb another cleaning. Put Seafoam in the gas and crankcase. The oil appeared to be freshly changed when it was parked. Ran it for 15 minutes around the yard at various speeds and then changed the oil. Continued to run smoother the longer I ran it. Drained the oil which was now black, installed new filter and oil. She is now lawn ready as soon as I put the deck on.

I know the post has the last pictures on it previously but they were sideways. I just figured out if I do not type in the same post after posting the picture they appear normal. Woohoo!!

I agree, if it didn’t have Allis as part of the name it wouldn’t stay here lol.
Ran flawlessly today, yard looks very nice. I think it’s a keeper.
