Dr. Allis and Mack, when are you guys gonna sit down and write a book containing all the A-C knowledge in your brains?  I enjoy reading all the little tricks and "off the top of your head" knowledge you two can rattle off just from having "been there, done that".

We've both got the battle scars that go with the knowledge too!!   Mack is much more diversified than myself. In my area there were zero B-C-CA's or D-10/12 tractors. Also no 160/6040's or 8550/4W220/305's. So one becomes knowledgeable on what is sold and serviced in your area. I've been at this as a career since 1974. My Dad's equipment is where I practiced since I was 12 or 13 and then on to 2 yrs of college. Making things run right has always been my goal.

Tbran and others on here are a wealth of knowledge too. Too many names to mention. The older this equipment gets, the more we die hard Allis clingons will rely on these guys with all the experience they've amassed from diving deep into these old tractors. I'm not afraid of the external stuff, but once you start splitting 13,000 pound tractors it's nice to know these veterans are on here. They know their chit, and are always willing to give good advice. A sincere thank you to you guys.

I’ve found out over the years that these gentlemen that we’re speaking of that if I ever met them personally I wouldn’t need to talk much but I’d sure as heck would listen to them. I learned quickly when I joined this forum who to listen to and who not to. They have helped me more times than I could count. My appreciation and kudos to all.

A few more, more experienced folks could be added but still would not cover all the ones with the knowledge to share. So a good place to say THANKS EVERONE THAT SHARES WHAT THEY CAN to help keep all the old stuff running.

I join in with expressing my gratitude towards the many of you who share your wealth of knowledge on here. People like you are what it takes to keep the intrest going in these older machines and keep folks from getting discouraged when they have questions or just need advice. We are very fortunate to have so many knowledgeable folks on here that share their talents and experiences with us.
Thank you

I would not have been able to make our 23 beasts like new without our Dr Allis and Mack. Believe me when I say I can’t even imagine the last 25 years of my life without them helping! Thank you Dr Allis, Mack and the many others whom have helped this hayseed along. Dana

Captain Dana - the blue skies and tailwinds hayseed farmer. Thumbs Up

Was thinking the other day about how so many contribute to this site and the help that is given... and if it were not for Darin's efforts to put this site up, none of it would be here.
So I say KUDOS to all, Darin, Doc Allis, Mack, and all that give answers and those that ask the questions that need answers.

Another vote for all the positive accolades for the members who contribute to our knowledge base.  I love hearing the stories from the guys on the front line in the late 60's and early 70's that worked on AC tractors "back in the day".  That's when I grew up with them too.
