Is anyone planting sunflowers with the old rear mounted drill planters. And if so what seed disk is used.

Do you have the set of 2 seed matching plates? Find the slot that is the closest match to the size seed and then match that cell size to the chart in the operators manual.

If I remember the number right, JD 290 plates also can be made to fit the drill planter...

You need an adapter to run jd plates no big deal tho

thanks Paul. There wouldn’t happen to be a part number for those plates in picture. I just got some seed. So I’ll look for those plates to size up with seed. Has anyone ever seeded sunflower with the old rear mounted drill planter.

Those plates are 321477 & 321478. I believe that they came with the planter when you brought it new.

thanks Paul. It’s been a long time sense iv seen that drawer full of seed plates. I’ll have to send my nephews into barn on a scavenger hunt lol
