I have a 220 with a 190/200 hydraulic pump. Nothing works at a low idle. At half throttle the steering works good, the pto works good and the 3 point goes up and down. The rear remotes won't lift anything. I put a gauge in the rear remotes and can get 2000 psi at wide open throttle. I checked to make sure the traction booster valve wasn't stuck. The original hydraulic pump was taken off by the previous owner because it wouldn't prime itself. I have the original pump and am planning on rebuilding it if I can find the pieces. What else should I check before I spend a bunch of money... I'm trying to lift a 20ft ihc disk.

Re-check pressures at the remote outlets at varying RPM's. Should be 2,000 to 2,200 psi from probably 1800 RPM and up. If so, you're using the wrong connections on the back of the tractor, especially when you say the hitch goes up and down. Poor steering at idle sounds like the horizontal priority spool is stuck.

There is a screen filter In rear end housing. Drain oil and remove screen. I have found them covered over with crap. Follow suction line back to rear end housing                 MACK

iF the old pump would not prime -possible just a bad seal on the shaft... as Mack stated I would certainly check the strainer in the big suction line that screws in the bottom housing.

When told "it's not the money,it's the principle", remember, it's always the money..
