Well, I truely feel for all those that got hurt and lost their lives due to unsafe driving conditions,,,,Last week,,I almost got caught up in a potentially same situation. I was driving into town on main 4 lane hiway into town and of a sudden,, wind started blowing bout 50 MPH and a field that had been plowed days before and before I knew it the visibility dropped to ZERO and I mean ZERO!! I slowed way down and finally pulled over onto side driving bout 15 mph,,,,just as I started to clear the dust storm,,,,here comes an AH in the lane I had been driving on, doing the speed limit (70),,,NO friggin way he could see what was in front of him,,,!!!! Those people never hurt themselves,,,they always hurt others,,,,,, I do not know if it better to keep moving or stop,,,?

Glad you dodged trouble Joe. I know that exact feeling of not knowing whether to stop or keep moving! Been there in snow and rain. Seems if you’re doing 15 or so, maybe that’s the best compromise. If you hit somebody it’s not that hard, if some AH still doing 70 hits you it ain’t as bad as being parked. Can’t say for sure.

Yep Joe, but it sure makes you want to put on a brown pair of pants... Last time I did it, it was pouring SOOooo hard you couldn't see a foot ahead of you. It was a VERY narrow winding road and I wanted to get to some farm entrance, but couldn't see enough off that side to tell if there was one or not. I had the drivers door just opened enough to see the line in the middle of the road. I just kept crawling and finally came out of it. I wanted a stiff drink right then!! I haven't been that scared in a LONG TIME. I just now thought,,,,,,,,,,what if I had been on a road with no line down the middle?? YIKES!! As hard as it was raining, I think I could have just stopped in the middle of the road and nothing would have happened. If anything, someone who was going faster than I would have just gave me a tap on the rear end anyway. Next time I see it that black out, I'm going to find a farmers road BEFORE the storm gets there.
