Any suggestions on how to get a very stuck sediment bulb off without breaking it? The guy I'm working for just got a JD A (I Know) and we have tried to get it off but it is really stuck.

They are made of pretty thick glass and don't break that easy.
I know, I dropped them on a concrete floor and they bounce. LOL Wrap a dish towel around it and tap it with something like a rubber hammer or a large screw driver handle while you pull down on it. |

Have you tried spraying it down (around the seal) with carb & choke cleaner?

Jeff you had much better luck than me! After I cleaned the one from my D-14, it slowly rolled off the bench and smashed into a zillon pieces! Said 'oh well', I'll just grab the one off the other D-14.OOPS, already been there, done that. 2 hour trip to the 'local TSC' and I bought TWO complete bowl assemblies.Nope, 2nd ones not on the second D-14...I've already misplaced it !!!!

I would heat it slightly with a hair dryer and then use the above suggestions.

Usually I can't get them to stop leaking. I can't imagine one being stuck solid.

I soaked the whole assembly in a can of gas for a few days, then tapped it till it separated.
