Hi folks,
I have a chance to go get a backhoe for my D15 industrial. Does anyone have a good handle on how big / heavy it is? I’m wondering if it’ll fit in the bed of a full size pickup or do I have to bring a flatbed trailer. I’m really hoping it’ll fit in a regular truck bed. Thanks for any help! |

Peter, we have a CASE 530 with a similar size tractor / hoe... I moved it with a 16 ft flat bed trailer... It has a heavy FRAME, two STABALIZERS with cylinders, then the boom and stick and bucket.... No way would i want to try to put all that in an 8 ft truck bed.

I’m told 3000 lbs for the backhoe unit.
If I can take any measurements let me know. |

I bought a Harbor Freight towable back. It's great for small jobs and does not take much space for storing.

I bought a D15I last year and It doesn’t have a backhoe. I wanted to go get this one to complete the machine. I don’t actually have a use for a backhoe, I just wanted it for the “complete” look. The attachment is in Indiana and I’m in Colorado. I have a truck and a flatbed and all that; I just can’t seem to get my act together enough to get to Indiana :)
