Anybody have any idea where a guy could get about 12'. Must be 2"X 3" 3/16 thick. I have seen some sites with unpolished stainless at $800.00 for each piece. I thought that was quite high.

Try Shapiro Supply in St. Louis. They will ship small quantities and are priced pretty fairly.

I don't know if they've changed but, if I remember correctly, 6 ft used to be their limit

Most places will have 20 ft lengths or so... You could buy 12 ft, but they normally sell 5-6 ft as it is easier to SHIP.... If you want 12 ft ONE PIECE, look local, or it will be shipped on a Big truck.

Guys it has to be cut into 2" lengths with 2 holes drilled in them.   Sorry I didn't make that clear.

Hmm - drops are sometimes cheaper - but 12' of drops of 2" each if they cut is going to be expensive .
Son just got steel on Thursday  - what he ordered last year of same weight and size is now 3 times the price . , most was 2" x 2" x 20ft box tube .Then they charge a delivery fee if order is not over $800 - that was no problem as the bundle I unloaded was $2,500

re: 2" lengths with 2 holes drilled in them.

well that is a different kettle of fish !!!

find a local fab shop, dumpster dive(with permission)

if not, find online in small sections, then have a shop punch holes and cut to 2"

'HAS' to be stainless ? if so, what grade(that'd be a spec to....)

Not sure if you have any wiggle room on your dimensions. If you do you might look at a product called Unistrut. They make SS angle clips with punched holes. Type 304L stainless. You may be able to modify or adapt to suit your requirements.

If not a metal fabricator should be able to cut and punch the angle to your specs.

800-586-4787 Try this number, distributor in Ohio. With your quantity they should be able to ship UPS small package.
