Anyone have any experience with this? I want to paint the inside of the rims before I mount up some tires. Anyone have a better plan? I don't have a way to blast them I was going to run a wire wheel over them and use this stuff.

Never used that before. Just did one of my WD rims. Used a wire brush then 3 coats of Rustoleum primer. I hope to notice an exterior leak before it eats through 3 thick coats of primer.

I haven't used this product myself, but I have seen it around before. I know a few people who use it. They have been using it on shed and barn roofs and not tractors. I haven't asked them exactly how well it works, but these guys are pretty particular so it must be alright for them to use it, at least on roofing.

I've had good luck with a product called Extend for neutralizing and coating rusty surfaces. POR15 is also supposed to be good------a lot of old car restoration people use it.

If you clean them good, either blasting or wire brush, wipe them down with denatured alcohol, and slather the inside with your favorite red oxide primer, they'll outlast both of us.

Ed - Have you ever thought of using cold-galv paint. It's about $10/aerosol can. You will need about 1.5 cans per wheel. Just prep the rim and spray. Check McMaster-Carr under zinc-rich paint. - AL
