I am looking to possibly replace the oil pump in my D19 Diesel. Rebuilt the motor and put new gauges in but still shows lower oil pressure on the gauge. Below normal at idle and mid at WOT. Have no good gauge to verify actual pressure yet. Dose anyone offer a remand pump? Haven’t found much on the internet. Thanks for any info.

Those engine normally carry good oil pressure. I would look for Debra under relief valve in block or in oil pump.                     MACK

The last low oil pressure D-19 diesel I was involved with, was rebuild by someone else who installed -.010" mains or rods on a crankshaft reground to -.020".  Oil pressure was just barely decent on a cold start and then kept falling the warmer it got.

Yes I adjusted the relief valve. Bearings are correct. I double checked them. I am going to locate a good oil pressure gauge and double check pressure.

There should also be a relief on oil pump. Pull the plunger out of both and check for something under plunger or a bad seat.                     MACK

Someone correct me if wrong - but do not those oil pumps have a torque, not bolted up to the block via flange?.  Seems like we had one come in after customer overhauled and tab on pump was broke allowing pump to drop down..
When told "it's not the money,it's the principle", remember, it's always the money..

Correct. Ear can be broken off the pump easily if overtorqued.

I got a good gauge hooked up on it today and found the new replacement gauge reads low. I'm not 100% sure what idle pressure is supposed to be but the new gauge confirmed 30+ max throughout throttle range. Book says 25-40.
