Here in the mid west most of the auto parts stores have machine shop service, I have had good luck with them for small gas engines like your 226. O'Reilly auto parts or Carquest or NAPA. If you send it be sure to remove your gear.

Many places I went to for parts and service two years ago are not there today. Some parts I ordered have been on back order for over a year. 
I found a machine shop to grind a crankshaft and got it back last week. Only waited two weeks. I was happy to find someone to do it.

Have a WD45 crank for sale came out of a 56 WD45.  Crank is ground 010. on the mains and 020. on the rods. PM if interested
