There seems to be a lot of WD's & 45's for sale here in MO. Think hard times are forcing folks to let go of them. I've seen a couple of 45's, WFE, factory PS, decent rubber, adveritsed for $1500. Not long ago, they would be advertised for $2500 +/-.

Why is there never time to do it right the first time, but always time to go back and fix it?

Same things were discussed at an auction down here in SW MO a few days ago. D17 Diesel, WF, powersteering- stuck - $500 (I was at $450), D14, WF, loose - $800 ( I was at $750), Farmall 300 Factory LP, WF, fast hitch, frame weights, slick tractor, loose - $1300. I figure a year or year and a half ago everything would have sold about 50% higher.

acwdwcman I was there also. I left after the 185 sold. Most of those tractors that were left were real common tractors, and with beans down 70 cents a bushel ,I didnt figure I needed to buy anything either...LOL I thought tractors were soft at the sale also. But the real nice ,rare tractors always bring good money, because the money that is buying them aint effected by the economy. IG |

Unstylish it was a 940. Its the same as a 1855 Oliver diesel. There were only 25 of them made. It was serial number 3. Restoration was nice. The owner was hoping for somewhere in the 25 to 30 thousand range. I guess Christmas came early for him.

Some of the prices Friday was good. $85 for rear WD Wts, $125 for 185 WTS,$25 for 1 C B side wt. $200 for A Rough LP Dual Fuel unit for WD-45, $350 for good 4 bolt WD WF. And the deal of the sale a complete WD-45 Power Steering setup. $1200 Lots of laughs after it sold.

Any of the tractors Ive been looking at (AC D19 diesel or JD 730 diesel) are all over $5k. Farm ground rent is still over $200 an acre and to buy ground is at least $5k an acre....I think its going to keep that way as long as interest stays low. Hard times? HA!

I was there also and the price seem low but when you look what was there the last WD tractors one had combine rear wheels and the 45 had one rim on the left that was junk i look at these and bid on few but every time i think i will get a good deal there is always more wrong.
the 45 diesel was missing alot of parts and the injection pump was apart so i think it was a good price for what was left and i know the guy who owned it he was happy with what the final price was.
