Had an unusual Allis 'U' come in to the shop yesterday.  Customer says he was told this was a factory cab.  The tractor hasn't run for a while but was supposed to run OK when it was parked a couple of years ago.  I'm supposed to get it running well and do a cosmetic restoration on the cab and sheet metal.  Looks like it will be a fun project!!

Never seen a U with a cab before.  Original OEM/factory or not, it looks good.

Seen one with a cab at Hutch one year and I think it had solid rubber tires and was used originally at the AC plant to push rail cars.

TimNH, that tag has a name, "Lloyd Vigar" on it, but i don't know if it was the builder or who it was made for.

I have seen pictures of the one that was at Hutch and that cab is much more rounded, but it does have a very similar rear entrance door.

Steve, that looks like a cut up truck cab. Look at the door hinge.

That cab is made from the top part of a 1934/35 Chev truck.. I've owned several over the years.
