Got the diagnosis today, wife wasn’t feeling good last Thursday and I wasn’t either. She tested Friday and got results Sunday positive. I tested Monday and got results today positive. Our 17 yo daughter tested negative so she promptly packed her bags and left the house today. Oh to be young again. Mother tested positive yesterday. Dad went today to get tested. We neither have a fever or have lost smell and taste. I describe my symptoms as like a cold coming on but hasn’t turned bad yet. We have been monitoring our heart rate and oxygen saturation with one of those finger testers like the doctors office has. Mom and Dad are in their late seventies and live across the driveway from us on the farm. Even though they are close we haven’t had close contact with them since Thanksgiving. I have tried to avoid too much contact with them because of their age and our jobs. My wife is a nurse and I have a diesel shop on the farm but are always around people due to the work. Hoping this all works out for all of us. Mom texted me tonight and said she had cooked supper but was sleeping a lot. I said so you feel normal? She enjoyed my humor. I don’t like to ask for things but prayers for my family would be appreciated. I hope these posts are not going to be a trend in the coming weeks.

Red Bank, my wife & I both had/have it since 22 November. It effects everyone differently, it attacked my wifes digestive system she's better but still fighting it,it attacked my lungs giving me covid pneumonia, put me in the hospital for 3 days on IVs & oxygen, still having to use oxygen at home and may have to for another month. Here is the critical part of this covid if it attacks your respiratory system it HIDES all the natural warnings of low oxygen,by the time it becomes obvious to someone else you can be in serious serious trouble. If you don't have a finger oxygen meter get one TODAY!!! And keep an eye on it,trust me it is not going to warn you that you are running out of air. Our hospital did a fine job with me I believe, the infectious disease Doctor did come to talk to me,it's flat scary, they honestly don't know how it works on people differently, the long term effects of it and or how long it takes to get over it, long and short, get the oximeter, use it ,your oxygen level falls and get to the hospital. We are praying for everyone that this crap has touched and for everyone that it will. This thing is not anywhere near over.

Guys, get to a health foods store and get the mega doses of vitamins and minerals that are recommend for your age. The sooner the better. Many protocols, that lots of doctors recommend, should be over it within a week to ten days, depending on your overall health.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Prayers to you all. I am recovering from it as well. It is a sneaky disease and just when you think you turned the corner it tries another angle at you. Move around and keep your lungs active, go for walks outside if you can.

Thanks for the prayers and comments. Dad tested negative which was good news. I have been working in the shop at a reduced rate and still taking Ringo for his afternoon walk around the hay field. Mom wanted me to close the shop but I would feel better trying to work than sitting in a chair all day. We are still monitoring our oxygen saturation and heart rate with the fingertip sensor.

Prayers coming to you from La Crosse Tom. For you and the whole family.
I had it back in September and I had it BAD. I didn't eat for a week and just had LOTS of water. I slept almost all of the time, which was good because I think it helped my body fight this crud off. A headache 24/7 so I took a LOT of acetaminophen. I still can't smell anything and I have trouble catching my breath. The slightest thing has me panting. I feel just great otherwise. The wife at the time just had a cough...... go figure. I'm 71 and in pretty good health (I think) so hopefully your Mother won't get it too bad and will fight it off with ease. Your Dad is more than likely going to get it and I'm praying for him too. Keep us in the loop and I hope for the best. |
