A couple of questions I have here, First I was wondering if all G's came with some kind of lift either manual or hydraulic or could you get them with no tool bar at all? Second I am wondering how many had the manual lift and how many had the hydraulics? Also how many are out there with the pulley without the hydraulics? I was reading in Norm's book that they were still selling the hydraulic setup 15 years after the G was no longer produced. Can anyone shed more light on these things?

In one of the books they list hand lift and hyd. lift both as options, so you probably could get it with nothing and one option was a pulley without hyd. Can't help on the rest.

I think the hydraulic pump w/ pulley is pretty hard to find....I only have one out of 4 G's.

Rich, all were options & if I remember right Allis didn't offer any hydraulics for the "G" at first. A hydraulic system for a "G" is hard to come by and when you do it costs you.

My first and only G is a 1948. It has hydraulics and the flat belt pulley.
