Oil or deisel fuel ? May need the carbon worked out of it - as in a day hard work

Could also be coolant if you have a bad head gasket.  My 175 did that many years ago.

thanks for the replies. We decided it had not been work hard and needed to run with a load on it .had mechanic look at before my son bought.
