Just bought a 1970 220, and it has a knob on the opposite side of the kill switch and the decal says push starter button and pull this out simultaniously for 3 to 5 seconds max. Does anybody know what this knob does or what it's for? I've ran 2 other 220's and couple 210's and never seen this before. Thanks in advance.
Mike

Sounds like the optional starting fluid control knob.

Mike, I've just seen one illustrated in the Two-Twenty Parts Catalog. It does not show where the mounting bracket mounts, just the bracket and all associated parts. The aerosol can P/N 254029 looks like a shorter version of the starting fluid you buy at the auto parts stores. I tried to get the kit from AGCO, but it is no longer available. I take it that you just have the cable coming down from the dash and not the rest? I'd like to know where it mounted also.

can mount should be on left side of tractor, right near intake manifold. might not be obvious what it is if the can is missing. It is best to leave a can on it, even if empty, so everything stays sealed up.
