The weather people are calling for frost Saturday night Sunday morning, said to water plants heavy tomorrow evening to protect from frost. When growing up had to wash frost off strawberry blooms in early morning before sun shined direct on them. What is better for frost protection, as we have about 100 tomatoes and peppers and some green beans that are susceptible to frost???? Thanks, Tim

We put row covers on our strawberries last night. Had them on and off several times this year. Cover all the outside flowers tonight. Cold ,wet and cloudy here this week. Tracy

Had 28 on Thursday / Friday morning and had 24 this AM. NO frost visible, but it was colder than the proverbial witches private parts....haven't seen the weather, so I don't know if it's a record or not.

I'm not sure how cold it got Friday night, never saw any frost but I've got some corn that looks REALLY bad! Seed salesman says if less than 4 leaves it would come through. As bad as mine looks, I would be surprised if I don't have to replant some. Would think parts North of here would be worse. I planted fairly early but there were guys in the field several days before me.

Some frost this morning, but I had put a garden hose down at the garden so sprayed the tomatoes, beans and pepper plants, used a watering can on the flowers around house, nothing showed any signs of frost bite this evening so hoping this is the last of cold weather. Did get a couple of radishes Saturday, 1st crops of 2020. yoohoo!!!!!!!! |

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.
