Georgia Pacific in Green Bay has tons of toilet paper in the warehouse. The supply chain just needs to catch up. There's more trucks going in and out than there has been for a lot of years.

Thank the media for stoking that as TP is one of the things they jumped on initially as a "news story". They needed something and all they did was push people to run out and buy it just in case.
So you are not going to work, one or two family members that use the bathroom there during the day. Many work places shutting down or cutting back employees but in the big picture, same amount being consumed so again, "news networks" just stoked it. Wally World here limits it to one package as people were panic buying. First trip into town just the other day and picked up the 2nd to last pack of TP on the shelf but worker said they had plenty in the back but had to put it out slowly to regulate people. Same with meat and eggs, one of each including one of each type of meat as people were filling carts starting about 10 days ago. Same thing, said it is in the back and although they did increase shipments, still have to regulate on how they stock shelves as they know people are making multiple trips to fill their freezers just in case. Brother in NE was shopping UT Fluid to start servicing 12 tractors and drum prices were still high at CASE-IH dealers as they had not sold enough since oil price drop caught up so had drums shipped in from an oil jobber that also sells office supplies, bought a pallet of TP for himself and both son's families. Thinkin there is gonna be plenty of TP on home shelves for a while, same people that won't need to buy any for a while later when things settle down . . . . .

Worth mentioning; WW had empty shelves also for the following.
Ecinacia Vit C Zinc All things I keep on hand for winters as I have always had good luck fighting off winter cold/flu symptoms with those. Stopped at TWO Dollar Stores on way home & picked up anything I needed as both had full shelves of the above, but no TP!

Hey Tim,,,,It has got to where I watch the first 20 minutes of the news on fox, then the weather and maybe something else for bout 15 minutes and that's it,!! The sensationalism of the numbers is just too much,!! Every "specialist" has their own chart and set of numbers and all they want to do is SCARE people,,,else WHY would they do that? Keep the advertizers happy and don't worry bout the people's fears. Case in point is,,,, President Trump is pushing for all available labs to go ALL OUT on getting a vacine out for the virus,,but what the media reports is "Maybe" the vacine will be available in a year to year and a half",,,?? No frigging way it needs to take that long and Trump KNOWS it. People are dying every day,,,almost every hour and the studies can be done on all those people that are willing to try an experiemental drug, if it means staying alive. I am very disappointed with our AG Barr because he should be front and center and addressing all the gouging and illegal BS we see every day,,! OK,,I'm done,,,got work to do outside,,,,,,

Echinacea is excellent, Golden Root Seal is along the same line and Walmart has it combined into one capsule. Golden Seal- Echinacea on the bottle. Over the counter in the vitamen section.

Anybody remember the toilet paper shortage in the mid seventy's I seem to remember it had to do with Johnny Carson making a joke about it on the tonight show and within two weeks you couldn't find a roll of TP anywhere. I don't know if that's correct, does anyone else remember that shortage?

Was at wally world the other day - cat's out of food and dog seemed to be eyeing them up as lunch - so figured i better feed them all .
found lots of cat food so one problem , then noticed there were quite a few bricks of TP on shelves 12 / 18 roll packages , also some 4 and 8 packs . So I did pick up one package of 12 - lot more expensive than what I usually buy , but until the hoarding is done I can at least not have a problem of being without . Seems when son and daughter in law were living here she complained the TP I bought was as rough as sandpaper . told her EASY SOLUTION - buy whatever you want - seems my industrial grade TP in 48 roll case from Sam's Club didn't meet her need - even if it was free . |

Yeah, Coke,,,some people gots some really sensitive,,,,UMmmm ,,,, Ummm,,sensitive "parts" so they always want them special extra soft rolls,,,which always carry a higher price. One of the boys complained bout the TP I supplied "Free of Charge",,,,so,,I gathered that roll up and put a roll of paper towels in there,,,,it will pick up everything but sure ain't soft no more,,,,,,,he never complained no more,,,,,

Yeah, we've got it pretty good with all the varieties of fancy TP, multi-layered, so soft that some of it as to be handled like buying bread as it can be squashed on the way home.
Years ago working in Pakistan, you could actually see the small pieces of wood in the TP. Us Ex-Pats were glad to have it as the Mussies used water with their bare hand. Eat with one hand, wipe with the other so when I opened a new can of dip, would take what I wanted then let them all see me spit back into the can, that made em' stop approaching me to beg for a dip!

The toilet paper shortage is more complicated than you think https://www.vox.com/the-goods/2020/4/3/21206942/toilet-paper-coronavirus-shortage-supply-chain Collectively, we probably still use the same amount of toilet paper as we did before the pandemic, but suddenly, we’re expected to use more of our own supply. Most people are no longer eating out at restaurants or going to work or school — places where we conveniently use the restroom and the available toilet paper. Georgia-Pacific estimates that the average American household will use about 40 percent more toilet paper than usual if people spend all their time at home.
