Hi guys,

I asked about this on another forum, but I wanted to make sure i was on the right path, so i am checking with you. Plan on changing rear fluids in the WD this weekend. I am told there are 3 drain plugs. I also see two fill plugs, one closer to the starter and one closer to the shifter behind the battery box. Do they both go to the same place? I was also told 18 quarts when all is said and done. Does this sound right and is there anything else I should know?

Thanks,
Jake

There should be 3 fill plugs on the left side.
The front 1 is for the hydraulics, the middle 1 fills the hand clutch and rear end, the back 1 fill the rear end and the hand clutch.

I saw the the one for the hydraulics, so the other two go to the same spot then? Does it matter which one I fill up?

the rear one is for the transmission and the rear and takes 80-90. The hydralics and the hand clutch take Hydra-trans. Bob

interesting. How much do I put in each one? Sorry for being an idiot, but I dont have manual yet. i would not have guessed from previous info that the hand clutch was supposed to have hydratrans. I was told the rear takes 18 quarts, is that right? if so, how much do I put in the front one for the hand clutch?

Thanks for your help.

Only the front one (dipstick) takes hy-tran....the other two take 80-90 and share the oil between them.
