Howdy Allis Fields,
Why don't you and your wife come up north and see the fall colors. At the same time you can see some of the orange AC 's around here. Mosinee one, Merril another!

I think Richard means Charles City, IA.  If you go come into Northern IA or Iowa in general, there are a number of places where I think you could take in some orange. PM me if you are looking to come this way.

Funny you should ask! Jan and I are parked in Ishpeming MI tonight. This evening we took a road trip down to Iron river to eat the best pizza in the U.P. at the Riverside bar. Tomorrow we will head up into the Huron Mountains back country with the Jeep. The color is peak and the country is diverse; what's to not like?! Probably only about 5 hours north of you.

You could go to Cassville to the Stonefield museum and see the rubber tired U and a 10-18.  If the ferry is still going you can take a ride across the river.  Its a fun trip.  The museum in Charles City is cool too.  If your ever in the Northeast Iowa region let me know.  I'm about a 40 minute drive strait west of Prarie Du Chien.
