I have a 190XT series III that seams to lose its prime after sitting for a few minutes. The steering and 3 point are very slow once tractor is started, let it run for 5 minutes then turn it off and back on then they work. I have cleaned the sump screen, replaced the elbow hose under the pump and the seal in the pump. Once I get the air out of the system it works fine but takes 5-10 min each time it’s started. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you didn't tightly/thinly wrap in a spiral the pumps drive shaft with electrical tape like a barber pole, and then oil the tape surface, you may have damaged the seal sliding it on over the shaft splines. I'd also have overhauled the hydraulic oil fill dipstick. Remove the cotter pin. Throw away the check ball inside of it. Take a rubber tip blow gun and while plugging the cotter pin holes with your fingers, blow up thru the tube to be sure the vent is open at the top. If not, remove the top cap and gut the inside of it and wash things clean so there is a free breathing dipstick. Last step would be re-seal the pump internally.
