Hi I have a question on my 1970 190 xt. I have noticed that the crankshaft pulley has a slight wobble when the tractor is running. The pulley is not loose on the crank, and there is no visible cracks or damage to the polymer in the dampener that I can see. Also there is no abnormal vibration at any speed when the tractor is operating. Just wondering if anyone out there has the same issue, and if it’s a common issue. Should I be looking for a replacement dampener, or is it not that big of a deal. Thanks in advance for any replies!

I have a series III, but no wobble, a friend has 2 and no wobble, BUT I have a WD that has a nasty wobble in it. Every thing is tight and I am thinking that the crank is bent. ---- nobody has had any ideas on it so far.

I'm not familiar with the 190's,but if it was me I would buy a new damper pulley.
They have gone bad on my 7010's. What hurts them besides the rubber drying out and getting old ,is that they don't get cleaned that great. Dirt hay and everything else builds up on both end s of the pulley and helps throw them out of balance. |

I have a 1970 series 3 also and mine was wobbling also. I was able to find a good one off a gen set and when I removed pulley the rubber was dry rotted and part was gone. I would replace or rebuild yours soon. I have seen post on hear before of someone on west coast that rebuilds them. Doyle

If it starts throwing belts, killing alternators or springing leaks in the radiator, replace it before you break the crank! Bad harmonics!

Has anyone done any business with dale mfg in Oregon recently? I’d like to send my pulley in to be rebuilt, but it looks like his shop might be closed. Hopefully not, that looks like it might be the most money friendly solution.

Yes Dale mfg. has been used by others on here and recommended. He did have certain times his shop was closed for other interests. Hope he hasn't closed permanently. Check previous posts.

He did the one for the 426 in my L2. Good deal and quick but like others have mentioned he doesn't operate full time and takes certain months off from that business. Just give him a call.

You can wash the dirt off the body but you can’t wash the farmer out of the heart and soul
