Guys,
Seen this NF for sale...notice the circled parts...are those specific to NF or are they the same for WF? In other words if I got a NF, would those have to be included? I think not but want to be sure....thanks |

Appears to be the power steering components that are circled. On the D14 those would be on a power steering bolster, but not on a manual steering one. I'm not sure if those parts can be installed on a manual one. The pump is not show and would be needed for it to work. Those parts would not be needed to be included, but you sure would enjoy driving the tractor if they were!

Thanks....was wondering if perhaps those PS parts would be slightly different, say like the mounting holes for instance as compared to same parts on a WF.

If you have a wide front with power steering you only need the narrow front pedestal.
The rest is the same.

On my d17 they appear to be the same on the wide front axle also.

If you install a single front on a D series tractor, you will need a bearing holder. The fork is the same as the WD-45.

On my D14 when I switched it to PS, the last rod in the steering column was different. I don't know if that is the same on a 17 or not. Just thought I would mention it.

The rod in a D-14 NF has a coarse spline and the D-15/17 have a fine spline. D-19 is 2" taller but the shorter ones will fit on. The bearing holder is about 6" tall and contains two bearings. It bolts to the main casting the same as the narrow front but has a flange on the bottom for the single front fork. I don't have a picture in my computer but have a few in the shed. Very hard to find. Not for sale!

Hard for me to picture in my mind. Wish I had a part number so that if I get a NF (what I want to do down the road) it would include this part.

The complete casting up to the bolts shown. About 6" tall. The flange you have highlighted is where the single front fork bolts on.
