This is farm equipment but not Allis. I have my Grandpa Tuckers old Cyclone seeder. The bag and strap have seen way better days but the board and gears are fine. Today I came across this broken plastic fanned Cyclone seeder at a flea market. The only thing good on it was the bag. $1.00 later I'm walking out the door. When I got home I dug all the staples out of the "new" bag and started working on the tacs that held the old bag on. The hardware for the strap is cheapened up on the new seeder so I will take the old hardware and add it to the new strap. The original seed chart is gone but the new seeder had one intact, but stapled to the back instead of held on with tacs. Come spring I will be able to seed to my hearts content.
Some pictures of the mess. http://picasaweb.google.com/1954wd45/GrandpaTuckersCycloneSeeder# |
