I am looking at a 180 and a d17 series 3 Both in excellent condition and always sheded wonder what they are worth 180 is the last year they were made with 2 speed pto diesel 4xxx hrs w/ cab in good shape D17 about the same maybe rear axle trouble interetested in Values if anybody has an opinion Thank You Gary Roidt

Just my opinion -- you don't say if the D17 is diesel , but assuming it is. Always tough to guess without a lot more info -- but, I'd say around $3000 for the D17 and maybe up to $4000 for the 180. Could be a little more if they are really excellent - and close to you. I'm willing to pay a little more for something I don't have to travel far to get. If the D17 really has rear axle trouble, the price would drop significantly.

180. Great tractor for chores or field work . It is worth about twice as much as the D-17 you mentioned. Series IV, D-17 would be a different story.

It depends on what shape they are in mechanically. I gave $2500 for a series 1 D17 diesel that ran good, has good tin, and needed 4 tires. If it has rear end troubles, there's no way I'd give $3K for it. I'm thinking more on the line of $1000 if the tires are good and the engine is ok for a gas. Maybe $1500 if it was a good running diesel.

One-Eighty is better choice, I think? It will have updated hydraulics that you can use on most any later hydraulic setup, heavier 3pt, & 301 diesel for around $5000. Cab is a bonus for cold weather. The D17 series 3 if powered by the gas 226 is tough to beat for cold weather starting as a chore tractor. Those will fire off even below zero. Probably around $2500 for it.
