still havingtrouble with my 45d pump. brought it to a diesel shop charged $150 told me they found a valve stuck and it was ok. it still wont inject on no.2 i could almost swear on my life they never even looked at it. can the head unit be repaired? Gonna try and get time to remove the pump and have alook at it myself. Any help with what to look out for would be a great help. fed up with guys taking the P***

Look up Ferguson diesel service, Austin MN and ask David. Not sure if he is still working on pumps or retired, he can either fix it or reccommend someone that can. |

Have you had the injector tested on #2??? If it is stuck, putting another pump on it would not be good. |

Since the Bosch PSB pump only has one plunger, it can't be the pump that is not pumping on only one cylinder, it has to be your injector. if it were the pump, it would do the same for every cylinder.

it's not the injector i have tested it. took the injector pipe off of no.6 and no.2 cranked the tractor over and would get diesel shot about 6 or 8 inches in the air but no. 2 would just dribble about half the volume. the tractor runs real good just, not on no.2. I have put new rings, got head done, injectors done, new clutch, new bearings, would really like to get her running 100% after putting a good deal of time and a lot of bucks into her.

I have seen psb heads be bad, and have weak cylinders. be sure to check your line! I have seen lines plug up with debris, or the ermeto sleeve(ferrule) crush the line down closing up the hole. PSB heads are not readily available new from ambac, but we have had success sending them out to be remanufactured. Best to find a good used one. good luck! Ed.
