I can't get the lift arms to lift on my new to me D17. the remote cylinder works but the arms will not move. I tried every thing I could think of and nothing worked. I even drained the transmission to see if oil was leaking from the ram or the hose but nothing comes out of the drain hole when I cycle the hydraulics. I was wondering if this tractor could have a selector valve? Where is this located? If this is not the case I am at a loss. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks

The tractor is a series II snap coupler. I tried messing with the transport valve but that did nothing. My I&T shop manual talks about an optional selector valve. I was wondering where this is located. Maybe this is the problem.

The hose that supplies oil for the internal lift cylinder probably has a hole in it.

Would't oil run out of the transmission drain if the hose was leaking? Trany oil drained and drain plug out.

The lift arms on the 3 point on my D-10 series III would not work. I worked on quite a while before I found the problem. I found a needle valve, much like the ones on a carburetor put about 3 times larger.
Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send you a picture from my parts book. Might not be the same as yours. I'm not very good at posting on here. Dusty
