Or 87 that I went to the dentist. I’ve had bleeding gums for a while so Jenny made me go. They cleaned my teeth and scraped my gums. The dentist said I need my 3 remaining wisdom teeth removed and a tooth in front of the remaining bottom wisdom tooth was damaged from the wisdom tooth growing forward. I also have to have a root canal. The dentist was concerned over the bleeding and asked for a blood pressure test. They told Jenny it was quite high and now she’s making me go to a doctor as well.

Sorry but HAVE to laugh. Was in that very predicament some years back, halitosis(extreme bad breath regardless how well brushed or mouth rinsed with washes) along with those issues. Ended up getting jaw scrapped beneath the gums, and yes they split them between teeth and peel them back to clean buildup of bacterial colonies, bone loss re-growth seeds installed and off to home FOUR Times(do it in quadrants). Before long started losing the corruption game where gums receded from teeth exposing the root with less enamel a few root canals, a few heavy crowns three teeth lost and a bridge installed.
Still doing better than surviving two brothers, one older one younger that have been RELIGIOUS with tooth care and Both have lost so many teeth may end up with partials or implants to chew in a few years. My biggest problem was and IS I chew too hard, have little to NO pressure sensation to teeth in the jaw so Crush foods and in the process stress fracture my wide flatter molars. Actually rolled THREE Gold Crowns off by one dentist that had NEVER seen one roll off and in less than three years after install. Split a custom Porcelain Crown like was made of bakelite. Dentist hates me!!! |

Better take care of that blood pressure. I have a cousin that didn't and had a stroke 3 weeks ago. I have been dealing with blood pressure meds lately too. Hope you find one that works well for you, but get it under control. Much easier than dealing with the consequences of ignoring it.

I go Wednesday to get a root canal and she’s trying to get me a Dr. appointment for earlier that day. The following Wednesday I go to a surgeon to have him access what all he has to do and set a date to pull the teeth. She’s trying to set it up for a Friday so I can have the weekend off.

My baby teeth pretty much rotted out of my mouth most likely due to the over use of Tetracycline, a penicillin substitute. My dentist at the time said I'd probably have false teeth by the time I was 18, between my parents and myself we proved him wrong and probably spent two small fortunes over the years doing it though, so, who's ahead? Over 60 now, have one root canal, and that's all of those, last time the dentist said root canal I said pliers, having the best teeth in the cemetery is not one of my goals.

A high-school friend of mine is an anthropolgist, he works for a crime lab, and has a medical minor in dentistry, but he doesn't work on people's teeth, he examines remains for forensic identification and reporting. In his spare time, he studies remains of much older generations... hundreds, to thousands of years old.... a fascination of his is sociology and history. He's done everything from examining remains found in Native American burial grounds (to determine the tribes to which they belong) , to sorting out mass graves in Eastern Europe, and Revolutionary-War era buriels discovered during construction excavations. He noted lots of interesting things to me, but the one that has always stuck, is that people live longer now than they did just a hundred years ago, and the greatest change in population survival for humans occurred with the advent of dentistry. This is not to say that people didn't live to old ages (because they did), but that a hundred-and-fifty to two hundred years ago, humans' AVERAGE life expectancy, over the entire population, was substantially less than it is now. He noted that while animals' lifespans stayed about the same, even with veterenary care, humans' average life expectancy has almost doubled.... And the difference is mouth care. He noted that a high percentage of the 150+ year old remains he studied, that were between 10 and 40 years old, exhibited overwhelming evidence of protracted infections inside their jaws or sinuses. Something to keep in mind when you're uncomfortable in the dentist's chair.

Copenhagen, Skoal wintergreen, Beechnut leaf, Prince Albert in the pocket tin (for rollin), and Kool Herberts when flush with dough and actin cool when a kid in the early mid 70's. Kool Herberts were the equivalent of Camel or Lucky Strikes in menthol, and they were strong.

I agree. I’m dreading this but when that lower wisdom tooth is gone and I’m all healed up I should be able to eat peanuts. 👍. As is there is a hole that they get stuck in and causes an infection. Been that way ever since it arrived when I was a young’en. It’s pointing forwards and should have went away years ago. |

Joe time to try a different mechan................... I mean dentist.
A neighbor I and I were discussing tooth aches. Him being somewhat hard headed he had his wisdom teeth taken one at time........as needed. All over the USA for 3, but 4 was in Wales . The British dentist did it with the least effort and fuse and he had way less pain. So like mechanic stuff find a specialist. The Brit never worried about fixing a tooth they just take them out, so they do it best. Thad hope your Wonderfull picks Doctors that know what to do and get it done right. Ray her dentist said he wouldn’t touch the lower wisdom tooth and recommended a surgeon. The surgeon will take all 4 or 5 at the same time. Trying for a Friday with a weekend off. That’s all this guy does so it should be good. |

We have a saying down here. He’s busier than a SWMO dentist. We live on the border so we’re loaded up on dentists. The tooth brush was invented here. If it was invented anywhere else it would have been the teeth brush.£ |

'dipping' tobaccos, being not regulated as 'food', usually contain 'abrasives' to accellerate absorption of nicotine. These abrasives are what destroy gums, cheeks, tongue, sinuses, and throat... so he's probably right... |

I made it through round 1. These dentists were much better than the traveling portable I went to all those years ago. We’ll see how I feel in the morning.
I have 3 more appointments to go. Gonna be a rough month or so. |
