Can you not weld new grouser strips on? or are the holes in the plates gone oval?

I'm sure the grouser strips could be welded,but the problem is the front of the shoes are rounded. I'm doing a restoration on her and just rather have new if possible.

As they stopped making M,S in 1942 finding new will be hard you could try john at general gear at Boise Idaho he did have some M,s that he was breaking i have only seen 1 pack of new plates. still in packaging.
