I recently brought home a D-14 to add to my collection. I didn't pay much but it ran well enough to use to finish some farm work before now. At this point the fun really begins. It's in the process of a complete teardown and overhaul. My question is does anyone have the specs on the amount that the front spindles are out of vertical ? I think that my present axle has been broken at some point and the spindle tubes rewelded. They did a good job but I don't think they got the angle correct. Currently the tires are about 6 to 8 degrees from vertical with a tilt out at the top. I believe that some is normal but I think these are too much. I'm the type that's too stubborn to just pick up a replacement axle. I'd rather repair this one. It's a rather difficult spec to find and I'd rather know what was built at the factory than just measure a front end. Any help would be appreciated.

You could probably pick up one at a tractor wrecking yard.  I would go that way - I just hate seeing bad weld jobs on nicely restored tractors.

I have used front spindle assy's that look to be in decent shape if interested, hubs and all, heavy to ship, but may save you Time messing around with cobble.

For what it is worth...cause it has been a loooooong time...6-8 degrees does not sound out of line , no pun intended,  as a kid I remember the front wheels on one of our tractors looked like they leaned some.............

Wigtrain I have a D-14 that I could measure, with a reasonable degree of accuracy (no pun intended either) if you can give me 48 hours to fit it in. I'm gonna send you a PM. Bob@allisdowneast
