I have the opportunity to buy a 6080 without a cab for a good price, but the guy who has it for sale knows of a 6080 parts tractor with a cab on it, and figures I could get the cab for dirt cheap. How much work would it take to put the cab off the parts tractor onto the good tractor? Thanks, Darrel

I don't think it would be too bad. Make sure to get the cowling around the rear of the hood too as it is different for the cab tractors I think. Otherwise it should just be the four main mounts along with some wiring, linkages and hoses. When the 6080's first came out there wasn't a factory cab available for them, when cabs became available many of them were field installed.

Thanks, Allis Freak. I was kind of thinking along them same lines, just had to hear it from someone else, too. What do you think a 6080 is worth? I haven't looked at it yet, but this is what the seller tells me: His aunt (a strong willed woman who never was married) bought it brand new for her farm/ranch operation, used it for less than 10 years, then retired, the tractor sat until around 02 or 03 (I think) this guy inherited it and didn't use it enough to justify keeping it as he doesn't farm/ranch. Thus, it's up for sale. He doesn't know the hours cause the hour meter is faded, it has a Leon 707 loader on it that is supposed to be in good shape, has good tires, runs good. Don't know much else about it. Thanks, Darrel
