I got home last night and saw a clump of topsoil in the middle of the front yard that was NOT there Sunday afternoon because I mowed it. I went out and investigated and discovered it is a "nest" for a rabbit. First off, I didn't realize bunnies could excavate a 8-10" deep hole on their own, and what you do with hole in your lawn? I saw no little ones in the nest "yet", and not opposed to letting nature take it's course, but  Confused ??

Fill it back up and tramp it down! --- I eradicate all of that crap as soon as I see it! --- Most likely they will move on if you fill it up!

I don't know what it is, but it seems they make a nest by a smell or something.  Had one do the same thing at my Mom's place.  Kept putting dirt back in and the rabbit came back and dug it up (the same spot) half a dozen times.  Put a big rock there and no more rabbit.

When those rabbits are full grown, I get $5 per healthy rabbit from Coors in Golden, Colorado.  They pay $10 for healthy jack rabbits...
Can't make beer without rabbits. Rabbits hop and the brewers need the hops.

I'm only 20 miles from Coors in Golden, never heard about the $5 per rabbit, Shameless's stockholder and I better go down there and see what kind of deal we can make, I hear there are a lot of rabbits in eastern Nebraska looking for a new home after all the flooding...

Joe and Thad, I know better then to get involved with any of Shameless's stockholders, I don't even want to think what would happen if I got on his wrong side, what with that machine and all.  BTW, last summer, on the way back from Hutch, I stopped in at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shameless and got a tour of the place.  I saw a Chevy powered AC and a bunch of other AC and such machines but no Jeep, or "Pretty Machine".  Although now I'm thinking it is cleverly hidden in an old Gleaner Combine.  Now I'm not saying it is that machine, but I did notice the unloading auger had special adjustments so it could aim more in the sky.  Something to think about.....
