Some of this info may have changed in the last few years but I do not think so. The business was shut down some years ago (not sure when) with everything still in the building. Nothing has changed since closing. Mrs Moody has not tried to sell anything there although many have tried to buy items.
Moody's made a major name for themselves by selling the small AC engines (B or C size) to a company in Jacksonville that makes Farris wheels and other rides. For the longest time all carnival rides around here were powered by these engines. If I heard right...later on the engines were purchased direct from AC. There should be several from the area that should add or correct my info. Den |

Great sign! I had the opportunity and pleasure to meet Mrs. Moody at a "Gathering of the Orange" event a few years back. I chatted with her for about 10 minutes. She is an amazing person! Knows a lot about A-C. She graciously autographed her business card for me as well. I'll treasure it forever!

Great sign! I live 70 miles east of Jacksonville. Here is a 2016 link from this site to shed light on it.

Funny how signs and tractors can travel , Uncle bill and I had put a lot of miles on traveling .I had a lot of AC signs in my showroom over the years. Just posting pictures of the Dealership in showroom a guy called and ask how I got that sign . They been trying to buy that sign for along from that place. As years went by I started selling and changing to other things ,most of those sigs went back close to where they came from.

There was a Gathering of the Orange held in Jacksonville, IL back in the early to mid 2000's. My wife and I attended. Donna Moody's husband (think he was called Bub but not sure) was still alive at that time. Mrs. Moody opened the Moody Implement AC dealership for anyone who wanted to tour it. The shelves were full of parts, the shop housed the rack truck they used to drive to West Allis to pick up tractors, office had lots of AC handouts and some were given to those who showed up. It was an AC dealership museum. Donna has been to many GOTO's since, including one we held in Maine in 2007. She is a dear friend.
The people who put on the Jacksonville GOTO were so welcoming. We flew out and obviously didn't bring a tractor. I was asked if I would like to drive to lead tractor, a nice C, in the parade. What do you think my response was? Great memories. Bob@allisdowneast |

Fred was correct. The GOTO in Jacksonville was 2002. I found one of the show books today. Bob@allisdowneast
