On Labor Day I used my wifes sewing machine to make a new seat for my B. Its olive drab canvas that has the water proofing on it. I still have to stretch it over the plywood bottom. I never heard so much complaining about the smell and leaving oil on her machine. you thought I would have used the kitchen sink to clean parts.

You mean you don't? Tell me this: what difference is there between scrubbing dirt of a tater, or dirt off a carb? I mean, its all field dirt! (seat looks good, BTW) |

jjrosty, That's why I have my own sewing machine! By the way, nice job on the seat.

They don't care much for heating up the flywheel ring gear in the oven, either.

Nice lookin canvas there jj. We recovered the original springs on the C seat at the Albert City GOTO. The material I found wasnt quite the correct color, the same texture though. It turned out real nice, I like it much better the the black vinyl repops.

I once used the bathtub to scrub the grease and grime off of my trucks transmission(NV4500) and transfer case(NP241). It worked well, constant supply of hot water and plenty deep enough to cover the whole cases. They even worked when I finished rebuilding them.
