Hi guys
Finally got around to rebuild the carb on the b. I was wondering if anyone could explain something for me please. I have the zenith carb on mine and instead of having a main jet adjustment mine simply has the plug. I have no idea why ? Cheers folks hope someone can make sense of this |

On my Zenith B carbs the plug is where you can remove or swap main jets, could also be used to drain carburetor fuel bowl. Leon

Many of the earlier 'B's had the non-adjustable power jet with the plug. The later models seem to all have the adjustable one.

What year is the B, and what is the carb # on round brass tag riveted to the top of the carb?

1947 English built b supplied with American parts.
It’s a dual fuel, ie petrol /tvo. I need to inspect the identification plate better as some pleb has painted it in the past. |

OEM Stock 1947 4 125 B (Kerosene) Zenith 161J7 906 216937-2 is what I find for your carb. I believe it is type 161J7 model 906 part 216937-2.

Some model Zeniths have a "fixed" jet with the plug. These were designed specifically for certain early model Tractor applications. Some, of those (depending on their P/N) can be upgraded to the later cousins that have the adjustable enrichment jet feature. I've upgraded a few customer Carbs, but I have to go by the P/N in my Zenith book. Steve@B&B

My list has that as a 1941 B or C kerosene or low grade fuel.
