How is that Ford in the first video even remotely considered STOCK?

That is the Page valley Fair in Luray VA.
There is a strong Ford presence here with several tractors like that. The 12 and 15,000 lbs classes had 17 tractors, mostly Fords. At the Fair, it's pretty mush bring anything that will pull, I laugh at "stock". |

I think you would use the term "stock" loosely with that 9000. |

Charlie, our county fair's "stock" pull is the same way. The classes were so full of "innovators" that the fair board created open classes for "slightly modified" :) tractors and guys from outside the county to run in it. We had guys running 190XT Diesels in the 6,000 lb class with inline injection pumps, Oliver 880 Diesels with 1800 engines in them so they could run turbos, 88 running on alcohol, and on & on.
In order to run in the stock classes, you must have correct engine for year and make of tractor (or factory replacement) ie; a D262 engine can be put into a WD-45D and still be considered stock (thats how those guys get away with running 1800 engines in 880 diesels), the tractor must run regular tractor fuel (gas, diesel, or LP), must have a working PTO, and must have factory seat.
My dad is actually considering putting a D19 diesel engine in a WD-45D chassis and taking it to some pulls to see how it does.

The guy puttin my WC back together has a MinnieMo UB that dyno's 150HP at stock rpm's. It looks all stock but I've seen the grinding done to the inside of the block and the notches cut in the cam to let the rods go by and the 3 pound coffee cans he calls cylinder sleeves that carry the Alison pistons. He runs propane at or very near stock compression ratio too. All it takes is CUBIC INCHES.

Was this a stock class or a "farm stock" class? Big difference.
