Anybody have one that slips on the front of your forks. What brand? Looking for one to lift and move 55 gallon drums of honey, 8-900 lbs maximum. I see I can get one from Northern Tool. Would you buy another like you have? I am talking about the one that squeezes the drums, not the chains that hook over the top lip of the drum. Thanks guys.

Had one at work that slipped over forks .Had two shaped peices that look like cow horns .Set it over barrel and pick up and it would squesse drum , set drum down and it would release it .Worked real well.

Thad, I need to move them around in the shed. Been setting them on pallets and moving then that way. I want to bee able to pick them up and put them on a 4 or 6 wheel drum mover. We sometimes meet to move them around in the shed. Darned old gal threw a fit when we put up the new honey house. I wanted it longer and she said "if you make it longer the feed truck won't be able to get in the lot and put bulk feed in the barn for my goats." Boo Hooo Hoo!!! Well she hasn't bought bulk feed since we put up the shed. Now I gotta fight to move stuff around every time I need something at the other end of the shed. WF that is the kind I want. I can order them from Northern Tool, just wondered how anyone else liked them.

OK, wondering.. does the shed have a concrete floor ? If so, use barrel dollys. I got 30 of them, used, free( of course)...great for storing sets of tire and other things, cause they move.... course as I'm typing I get the nagging feeling the shed floor is dirt or gravel.... just thinking of options, stuff to make life a tad easier... I got one that has two arms that grab top of barrel and the lift force squeezes curved metal pieces against sides and catch under rim at top. Hook it with a chain and front end loader. You could do same on one fork. Was around $50 5-6 yrs ago. Can't remember if bought online or at Rural King???
