$100. I ran a wanted ad in Lancaster Farming last year. I got 20 calls. I could have had 15 of them for $100 or less than. Don't be stupid and overpay. A lot of guys have grand plans, then next thing they know, 10 years have gone by and it's in the way and they haven't done anything. They just want them gone, but want a little cash to save face?? They're out there cheap. 60's, 66's, 72's, 90's and yes, 100's.

I recently bought a barn kept 66 with a parts 60 from a neighbor. He wanted $200. I told him I couldn't take them for that and offered $500. (I never was good at bargaining!). He let me pay $400.

$500 for a field ready one, and subtract for the repairs to get one that way? Alot of under $100 ones around if you figure it that way!

If it's close enough to easily get home, worth a lot more. In good shape - around $500. From there, the worse the condition, or further travel, the value drops. I hauled a pretty good one back from Michigan --- $200 about 4 yrs ago.

Yaz. You once commented that you liked Farm and Dairy. Subcribe to Lancaster Farming and run a wanted ad in the Mailbox Markets. I ran an ad in both and the one in Lancaster Farming yielded 20 calls. I don't have any of the numbers I want to give out................There are 1 or 2 that are very nice and cheap. We took down a old barn(circa 1875) at our farm and lost a lot of storage space. When we get a new one up, I'll see if I can get those. We farm 800 acres and own a CIH 1680 and a Deere 3300. The AC would a winter project and something for clover and timothy seed. It would be stupid for me to buy a nice machine and then tarp it in my yard. Anything in LF would be short drive for you. More of them and in better shape. I've seen 25-30 machines in OH, MN, PA, NY, MI, IN, NH, KY. Very nice machines 2-3 hours from you. Good luck.
