There will be a ride from my place 8/18/18. We will be heading out at 10AM.  we'll meander around through northern Frederick County and cross over into Carroll county to the community day at Keysville Church where lunch will be available. Then when everyone is ready, we'll head back to my place. Everyone and all color tractors are welcome, except for former relatives. Don't forget to bring your NOS "want list" I just might have the elusive part you're looking for.
Everyone must have a SMV sign for their tractor, a full tank of fuel and a muffler is encouraged. Let's be nice to our local neighbors.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

There's a caravan leaving Hanover, MI. 7:AM Friday August 3rd, going to Edon, OH. returning Sat. to Hanover.
It does no mater what color your tractor is.

Just a reminder to anyone thinking of coming: due to all the rain we’ve been having it may not be a good day. If we get a flood out within a couple days proir, parking in the field may not be suitable and the ride just might have to be cancelled this year.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

Unfortunately due to some conflicting circumstances and the strong possibility of heavy rain the ride from my place is cancelled.    😿

Yes: The last two years I had this ride were a blast. even the first year when there was a downpour before we got to the lunch stop. Then as the weather didn't appear to be getting any better all but three of us bailed and left their tractors and went for their trailers. Some spots on the return had over a foot of water across the road and my creek bottom was flooded to the top of the fence when we returned. Even so we had a great time. For this years ride problems began to arise when someone who sells their beef retail to the citybots who will pay foolishly outragous prices, commandeered this ride that I was going to do as a promotion from their farm. After calling them last night to voice my displeasure for them advertising the ride as a promotion for their farm, I got a response of  "we put it on Facebook to get more people, so why are you upset for not getting any credit".  If they think it's there ride, then it is, not from my place though.

Please join us for a FREE scenic tractor DRIVE through the back roads of Rocky Ridge, Emmitsburg and Keymar, Maryland! The ride is in conjunction with the Keysville Grace UCC's Community Dayrace UCC just in time for lunch and music. Riders are welcome to park their tractors as part of the community day's tractor show -or- bring an antique to display too!

Call Allison at 717-357-4521 for more information or with any questions.  Or email her at info@deerrunfarmmd.com

The start of the ride will be at the Rocky Ridge Park with the big slide in Rocky Ridge, MD (13616 Motters Station Road). We will leave the park at 10am sharp.

The drive back to Rocky Ridge after the event will take approximately 30-35 minutes by tractor.

All tractors must have a SMV sign and be in good condition to operate safely on the road.  10 mph minimum speed

Paul said he cancelled his, which was to be on the 18th.  I doubt I'd even consider going to the other one, if it is actually going to take place...Thumbs Down

Yes: I cancelled the ride from my place when those at Deer Run Farm turned it into THIER ride. After doing all the route planning to have a very nice ride that would get the the church in time for lunch, all of the advertising made no mention whatsoever that I was the one that was hosting, leading and had done all of the preparations for a wonderful day riding country back roads. I had even planned another couple hours for the return ride back to my place. Now it is all thier deal.
Next year I will plan my ride for early in June to an all you can eat breakfast and car/truck/tractor show at Terra Ruba Lions. And it will not get co-oped into anyones farm promotion. I promise you that no one will be forced to endure a group of pathetic gospel singers while eating at the Lions club.
