Anybody know where I can find  a magnetic type rotary fuel gauge that would fit in a 1-1/4 inch pipe thread hole? It's for a 300 gallon horizontal fuel barrel on a stand and the gauge goes in the end cap of the barrel in the center.

Everywhere I look all I can find is a top mount furl gauge. Well I ain't 12 foot tall so I wouldn't be able to see it
I still gots my A/C but it's clear out in the barn now.

Check with your local F/S tank wagon operator. I used to stock them when I hauled for them.

Can't ya just tap on the side of the tank?Big smile

I remember back in the day all of ours were on stands but we didn't have too much to worry about running out of gas because the Standard Oil man would come by every week and top them off.  Good times.  Still remember his name, Bill Auxier.

Well Gasoline THERE Shameless. An that's the Nurse's gasoline so if'n you decide to come over an hep yerself, there Shameless, you gonna have the nurse to deal with cause she don't like running to town every week fer just 5 gallons of gas to cut the grass.

See she's the groundskeeper so if I have gas on hand fer her, I never have to cut the grass.

Looks like from here you better worry about how to lock it. The 300 gallions will last a LONG time for a mower if your "friends" don't help you empty it.LOL

It takes her 3-4 gallon per cutting Ray. Amd she mows quite often,The place always looka real nice. She figures on 25 cuttings per season so that's only 100 gallon.

But Farm service won't being less than 250, so the rest of it at the end of the summer goes in my truck.

Oh for the good old days. We use to be able to really add to global warming by burning all the household garbage(plastic packing, magazines,an more plasticTongue). There has always been a state Cal Fire station about 3 mile closer to the end of the road. Only open from June to Oct,but the over worked higher ups will show up to check it out and get a little nap time in anytime. Since the fine for polluting starts at $1000, I been cheap and not tested them Wink. But the fire boysAngry had a falling out with air pollution boys Confused, maybe if Shameless  came and helped I could.

Les what is wrong with you exercisingLOL a little and climbing the ladder and poking one of your poking sticks in????

Well a lot of you are gonna disagree over this practice but I heard that our pollution affects you guys on the east coast. And if'n I can go down to thet walmart store or tractor supply and buy tires, then somebody should be providing me a place to rid of the wore out ones. And since our fine government don't have the smarts to figger it out how, they can just breathe them cancer causing fumes I send their way at night.
I still gots my A/C but it's clear out in the barn now.

Les, the IDIOT 'city fathers' here  have a series of 'recycling centers' ,which sounds good but.....
1) used fan belts go into the landfill.....I think of them as very skiny tires...

2) only 4 tires per day allowed, got 5 ,need to make TWO trips....

3) any wood with a nail or screw goes into the landfill BUT buy a new 2by4 and they'll recycle that...

4) they take CFLs and FLs BUT tape them into a bundle (so they don't break on the bumpy trip there) and they'll say 'get lost', kinda politely..

5) old truck seats go to landfill but burn off the covering and they'll recycle the steel frame

6) they take engine oil, though I give them big pop bottles full of oil/tranny/water/kero as I drain it. Guy asked 'why not in 4L oil jugs'? I say OK you SHOW me HOW to put the old oil in and ADD the new oil from the same jug ?

 7) they won't take drywall, so I recycle new stuff into garden Peppers LOVE it.
I could go on but I wanna goto bed. Gotta lift the A-C forklift up 'somehow' to bleed brakes tomorrow.
